The Pipes and Drums Today

Besides day-to-day support of the Regiment's military duties and ceremonies, the Pipes and Drums are frequently featured in the cultural community of the City of Victoria. We perform at many of the city's biggest annual events, such as the Symphony Splash with the Victoria Symphony Orchestra in the Inner Harbour, Terrifvic Jazz Fest, and the annual Victoria Day Parade.

The Regimental Pipes and Drums are just one member of the Regimental musical 'family'. There is also an active pipe band in the 2136 Canadian Scottish Cadet Corps in Victoria, as well as the pipe band of the Canadian Scottish Regiment Association. At times the three bands combine to perform for events like the Canadian Scottish Regiment Ceilidh and Remembrance Day ceremonies.

Over the last several years, members of the Pipes and Drums have performed at numerous international events, such as:

  • New Orleans Mardi Gras, Louisiana
  • Twilight Tattoo, Honolulu Hawaii (three times)
  • Memphis International Tattoo, Tennessee
  • Family Day on U.S.S Nimitz Aircraft Carrier, Puget Sound
  • Pleasanton Highland Games, California (twice)
  • Scottish Games, Costa Mesa, California (three times)
  • Edinburgh Military Tattoo, Scotland
